Kaila is a writer and has completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology. She hopes her vulnerability as she intimately shares her stumbles, missteps, and victories in hopes to help others navigate their mental health journeys.

Kaila Miller started writing during COVID-19 when everyone joked that they were going to use their spare time to write a book. But this story had been boiling up for years.

She began writing her story from memory. She wrote “Am I Changed?” to chronicle her time at a therapeutic treatment program where she was exposed to further mistreatment as she shares a harrowing journey of abandonment and the desire to “get better” in a world that felt like it was built for her to fail. She shares intimate details of what it felt like to be a teen in trouble rather than a troubled teen.
